Welcome to LifeHandle®

LifeHandle's one and only remit is to ensure the good mental health of both organisational and individual clients.

To this end, LifeHandle offers counselling through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to individuals and Stress Management Training to both individuals and groups

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Are you finding that you cannot think straight or are having emotion problems. Do you struggle with depression, anxiety or anger. Do you suffer from behavioural problems such as shopping addiction, gambling or OCD.

There are many different types of counselling, however counselling through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is highly regarded as the intervention of choice to help people deal with these issues. CBT is an evidenced based therapy with scientific research to support the efficacy of this treatment.

LifeHandle has treated hundreds of people from Dublin, Meath and Kildare.

Stress Management

In addition to the stress levels experienced by people both at work and in the normal course of their lives, many are also stressed about the current economic recession, the deterioration of their personal assets, and what the future holds for them.

During these very uncertain times, basic training in Stress Management can at least help protect your health. I can teach you new skills to regain your personal effectiveness. As a consequence, energy levels, personal health and happiness are more under your control.

Stress accounts for 43% of absenteeism, and the new Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005 now specifically protects the mental wellbeing of the employee.

Stress Management & REBT Approach to Flexible Thinking

LifeHandle also delivers a course to Community Drug Projects aimed at young adults in recovery from substance abuse. This course teaches self care through stress management and also how to better handle emotions such as anger, anxiety, low frustration tolerance, shame, guilt, hurt and depression.

LifeHandle is currently undergoing FETAC Registration (Oct 2009) so that CDPs can avail of FAS funding for this course in the future. The course has already been delivered to EDIT and the Spellman Centre to great success.
